All Star Kids Club suggests and provides the following information to kids and parents on a monthly basis.

There are only 3 ways to take in a calorie. Proteins, Carbohydrates, and Fats. These are called macronutrients and mother nature gave them to us because they each serve a different purpose.

Proper Digestion

The basic function of the digestive system is to convert food materials into usable energy and to provide our bodies with material its needs to grow and maintain itself. This long process has evolved to be very efficient- grabbing as many nutrients out of food as possible and leaving all unusable material to be excreted.

The Benefits of Exercise

The benefits of regular exercise are numerous. Exercise can help prevent heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes (Type 2), and depression. Regular exercise can help reduce high blood cholesterol, the effects of osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) and arthritis, and the symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome and menopause. It can improve balance, muscular strength, and help with poor circulation, and can relieve sleeping problems, stress and anxiety. In so many ways, regular exercise can improve your physical and mental health, no matter what your age.
